A mild-mannered writer stumbles into the mysterious world of a beautiful jazz singer. A boiled crab, a mime, gangsters, and a warehouse of double-decker buses set the stage for a whimsical story about love and meteorites.
Our Space Rock required several days of highly flammable experimentation to perfect, followed by a hectic night of shooting. The results were worth it; nothing looks like a flaming hunk of rock like, well, a flaming hunk of rock. We're proud of our ability to produce special effects on set as well as in the studio.
Shot in film noir style on black and white 16mm film, it features local actors Jan Bos and Allison Warnyca. Beware of Falling Space Rocks screened at the Leo Awards Film Festival and won eight awards at the Persistence of Vision Film Festival, including best picture.
